LUCKNOW: The Barabanki police on Thursday arrested a man, who allegedly killed his wife on April 10 suspecting extra-marital affair as she used to talk for long hours over phone with someone.
Police said the accused Surajlal Dhiman had initially told investigators that he found his wife dead in a pool of blood at their house on the outskirts of Lala Ka Purwa village.
However, probe reveled that Surajlal was present in the house when she was killed. Following sustained grilling, he confessed to murdering his wife, Rajkumari.
According to Additional SP, north, Vikas Chandra Tripathi, on April 10 morning, Surajlal left for work but returned by afternoon, claiming he was unwell.
