NCP-SP MLA Jitendra Awhad receives death threats

Thane: NCP-SP MLA Jitendra Awhad received an abusive message and death threat from an unknown person on Friday. Following this, the legislator drew the attention of senior state police officials, including Thane cops.
Awhad posted a screenshot of the abusive message on his social media account, drawing attention from the police department. The message was sent by a person apparently not known to the legislator.

"I received messages from two mobile numbers where the senders issued death threats and also used abusive language against me. I am requesting the police to intervene and take appropriate action," he appealed on his social media post.
