3 more arrested for assault on Kodagu temple priest

Madikeri: Police on Saturday arrested three more persons in connection with the assault on a temple priest in Kodagu. With this, the total number of persons arrested in the case rose to five.
Kattemadu Mrithyunjaya Temple priest Vignesh Bhat was attacked by some persons at his house in Murnadu on Jan 27. The accused were absconding since the incident was reported. The attack took place following a dispute between members of two communities at the temple.
Kodagu SP Ramarajan said the arrested are MB Aiyappa alias Anila, 46, MP Kalappa, 51, and TL Subbaiah alias Suni , 47, all from Nalkeri village near Virajpet.
