AMRAVATI: The special squad of police arrested four persons and seized two trucks from two different locations on Sunday and Monday in connection with issuance of fake documents from agents and employees of Nagpur RTO.
According to information from the police,
Subhash Yadav, Shaikh Anis Shaikh Minar, Nasir Khan Baba Khan and Vishal Gupta are the names of the accused arrested.
Special squad of the police got a tipoff that one Vivek Gupta along with some persons are trying to destroy a truck he had bought from Shakil Khan, who is the kingpin in this matter and has been earlier arrested.
Vivek Gupta had an idea that Shakil was selling him a stolen truck, but he had agreed to the deal anyway. After he learnt about the arrest of Shakil and the subsequent police crackdown on the accused in the fake documents case, he tried to destroy the truck he had bought from Shakil.
Gupta sent Subhash Yadav, Shaikh Anis Shaikh Minar and Nasir Khan Baba Khan to a location close to Anuradha Petrol pump in Nandgoanpeth and ordered them to destroy the truck. A special squad of the police arrested the four persons on Sunday while they were trying to destroy the truck MH-31-3904.
On Monday, special squad of police under the leadership of PI Balsaheb Kadam seized another truck from Latur. Police seized the truck MH-31-AQ-3459 from Latur on Monday and are investigating the matter further.
