Ara: Mahatma Gandhi National Rural Employment Guarantee Act (
MGNREGA) commissioner-cum-additional chief executive officer of JEEVIKA, Abhilasha Kumari Sharma inspected various initiatives of the JEEVIKA didis at Bihar State Institute of Mental Health and Allied Sciences (BIMHAS) premises at Koilwar in Bhojpur on Thursday.
The JEEVIKA didis told the MGNREGA Commissioner that a total of 350 well-trained women are engaged in the stitching of clothes at the sewing centre. The commissioner also enquired about the economic benefits they are getting out of this initiative.
According to the officials concerned, the women can earn Rs 10, 000 to Rs 15, 000 per month by stitching clothes at this sewing centre. Besides, they can get free training for stitching quality clothes here. She also inspected and appreciated the culinary skill of JEEVIKA didis in ' Shakti Didi ka Rasoi' which caters to the needs of 150 to 180 patients admitted at present in BIMHAS.
