Patna: A 32-year-old trader was shot dead by criminals near Chandradehi village under Dhamdaha subdivision in Purnia district around 3am on Monday. The incident occurred when the victim, Sagar Kumar Gaurav, was on way to Gulabbagh market on his maize-laden tractor-trolley.
The motorcycle-borne criminals intercepted him between Damdaha and Badhra Kothi and opened fire.
Locals took Gaurav to referral hospital from where he was shifted to sadar hospital. The man died during the treatment.
Dhamdaha SDPO Ramesh Kumar said primary investigations revealed Gaurav was murdered over business rivalry.
