Man jailed for killing wife
Pandit had on Saturday strangulated his wife Lakshmi to death following a fight between them and buried her body about 500 metres away from their home to hide evidence.
When Kumari's relative rang her up for routine talks, Pandit told them that she died by suicide.
The relatives arrived at Kanatnad and questioned Pandit comprehensively leading him to confess to the crime.
Police had arrested Pandit on Sunday following a complaint in this connection.
