Gorakhpur gets 65 new ambulances
Gorakhpur: In a major boost to the district's healthcare infrastructure, Gorakhpur received 65 new ambulances on Saturday with MP Ravi Kishan Shukla flagging off the fleet from Annexy Bhawan, expressing gratitude to Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath for the initiative.
The new fleet includes 24 ambulances under 108 emergency service and 41 under 102 service. These fully equipped vehicles come with oxygen support and trained medical staff to ensure swift and effective emergency response.
Ravi Kishan said the initiative reflects the Modi-Yogi govt's commitment to strengthening healthcare services across the state. He emphasized that all ambulance services are completely free of cost. "108 ambulances can be used in emergencies, accidents, or to transport fever patients, while 102 services are dedicated to transporting pregnant women, newborns, and mothers," he explained. Additionally, four Advanced Life Support ambulances have been introduced to facilitate patient transfers to higher medical centers, as per doctors' recommendations. Mayor Mangalesh Srivastava, CMO AK Chaudhary, Deputy CMO Anil Singh, Rajesh Kumar, and district health education and information officer KN Barnwal were present. tnn
