The admission process for nursery, kindergarten (KG), and Class 1 in Sarvodaya Vidyalayas for the 2025-26 academic session commenced on March 1, 2025, and will continue until March 15, 2025. This process is exclusively for residents of Delhi, and parents must provide necessary documents such as a residence certificate, birth certificate, and caste certificate during the application process.

The Directorate of Education (DoE) has issued clear instructions to school principals to ensure a fair and smooth admission process. Parents can collect application forms from the school principal during school hours or from the security guard at the school gate. For any admission-related queries, they are encouraged to reach out to the school principal directly.

The DoE has set the following schedule for the admission process:
March 15: Last date to submit application forms.
March 18: Schools will display a list of applications with errors on their notice boards.
March 18 & 19: Parents can visit the school to correct any mistakes in their application forms.
March 20: A computerized draw will be conducted for admissions.
March 21: The final list of selected students will be displayed on school notice boards.
For private schools in Delhi, the application process for Economically Weaker Sections (EWS), Disadvantaged Groups (DG), and Children with Special Needs (CWSN) for nursery, KG, and Class 1 has already closed. The computerized draw for these categories is scheduled for March 5, 2025.

The Directorate of Education has emphasized that the entire admission process is computerized and transparent, eliminating any possibility of bias. Parents have been strictly advised to avoid brokers or agents who claim to influence admissions. Any suspicious calls or fraudulent activities should be reported to the authorities immediately.
Once the computerized draw is completed, the DoE will allocate schools to the selected students. Parents will receive information about the school allotment via SMS notifications. The Directorate has assured that the admission process is designed to be fair, unbiased, and provide equal opportunities to all applicants.
