Aishwarya Rai Bachchan took to social media to honor her late father, Krishnaraj Rai, on his eighth death anniversary on March 18, 2025. In a touching gesture, she shared a series of photographs on
Instagram, with her and her daughter Aaradhya paying respects to Krishnaraj's portrait.
The pictures featured a garlanded photo frame of Krishnaraj Rai, with Aaradhya and Aishwarya bowing down in front of it. Aishwarya expressed her eternal love for him, thanking him for his blessings and cherishing the memories they made together.
Sharing the post, she wrote, "Love you eternally dearest darling Daddy-Ajjaa. Thank you for all your loving blessings always."
Krishnaraj Rai passed away in 2017 in Mumbai due to a prolonged illness. He was an army biologist by profession and left behind a legacy of love and values that continue to inspire Aishwarya. She has always remembered her father on his birth and death anniversaries, ensuring his memory remains alive.
Professionally, Aishwarya was last seen in Mani Ratnam's epic historical drama 'Ponniyin Selvan', where she played dual roles as Mandakini Devi and Nandini. The film was based on Kalki Krishnamurthy's novel of the same name and received widespread acclaim. The film is set in the 10th century during the Chola dynasty and follows the story of Arunmozhi Varman, who would later become the renowned emperor Rajaraja I.
Currently, Aishwarya is yet to announce her next project.
For quite some time now, Aishwarya has been in the news lately, with rumors about her marriage to
Abhishek Bachchan. However, the couple has consistently appeared together at public events, dispelling any speculation. Recently, they were spotted at Ashutosh Gowariker's son's wedding.
