The ongoing rift between cricketer
Virat Kohli and singer
Rahul Vaidya has taken an unexpected turn, as two other cricketers have reportedly unfollowed
Rahul amidst his calling
Virat a ‘joker’.
Netizens discovered that
Yuzvendra Chahal and
Krunal Pandya had unfollowed Rahul following his remark about Virat. According to News18, both cricketers showed support for their friend and teammate, Virat, amidst the ongoing social-media frenzy, as fans were asking about their stance on the issue.
Singer Mocks Kohli's Algorithm Excuse
It all began when Kohli liked one of the bold photoshoots of actress
Avneet Kaur on Instagram, which caught the attention of fans. Soon after, a screenshot of the cricketer liking the post went viral on the internet. He later shared a clarification, blaming his algorithm for accidentally liking the post. This statement ignited a meme fest online, connecting Virat and his wife, actress
Anushka Sharma.
The issue took an unexpected turn when singer Rahul made fun of Virat for his ‘algorithm’ remark through an Instagram story. He also added that he might have blocked Rahul earlier due to the algorithm. The joke did not sit well with fans, and they started bullying Rahul, as per his own story about a cyber attack from Virat’s fans. He later stated that the fans even passed on abusive comments about his family and wife. He also called Virat and his fans ‘jokers’.
His ‘joker’ remark further ignited social media, as many called Rahul arrogant and unprofessional. He has now asked Virat for the reason behind blocking him on Instagram in a recent airport video. Anyway, neither Yuzvendra, Krunal, Virat, nor Anushka have shared a clarification on this matter.
