Himesh Reshammiya is on cloud nine at the moment with all the love he's getting for his recent film 'Badass Ravi Kumar'. Even the songs have become a rage on the internet, especially, 'Dil Ke Taj Mahal Mein'. However, one can't deny that Himesh has faced his own set of criticism and trolling before he's now called 'Lord Himesh'. In a recent interview, Himesh opened up on the things being said around him. A while ago, when Janhvi Kapoor was on 'Koffee With Karan' with Sara Ali Khan, she had said that she enjoys going to Himesh's feed and watch him work out with 'Tandoori Nights' in the background. She had also mimicked him. She had said, "It's the best thing in the world. I love it."
Reacting to it, Himesh said during an interview with Pinkvilla, "Yes, I know. This is a very good thing. It has been so many years but the likeability of ‘Tandoori Nights?remains. We have millions of views, the word ‘tandoori?is very lucky for me.?br/>He also revealed how he deals with criticism, thus, recalling an advice which Akshay Kumar gave him. The singer, composer, actor said, "I would have stopped a long time ago, if I had let myself get affected by what people say. If I doubted myself, I wouldn’t be here. You should do what you can, pray to God, and accept all the love that comes your way.?br/>He added, "Akshay ji always says, ‘We have all these formulas, listen to someone else’s point of view and then improve it. If they have a certain POV, then work on it and prove it to them. And today, I have seen the fruits of my hard work with Badass Ravikumar. Mujhe jo 6 dikhta hai, aapko 9 dikhta hai, point of view is subjective. One shouldn’t feel bad about criticism. When ‘Aashiq Banaya?came, there was so much trolling, but the same people were dancing to it in clubs."
Talking about people calling his voice 'nasal' ever since he sung 'Aashiq Banaya Aapne', Himesh said, "Aaj toh nasal ki baat bhi nahi karahe hain. Many people did nasal singing after me, so many of my songs became hits. Actually, even though I call it nasal singing today, for me, it was never nasal, it was high-pitched singing. It was a cry for help! In the ‘Aashiq Banaya?video, this guy is actually crying in pain, singing, as well as dancing…?br/>In this interview, Himesh also opened up on the comparisons between 'Badass Ravi Kumar' and Ranbir Kapoor starrer 'Animal'. He said, "Animal toh current film hai but kahin na kahin vo beard, ek conventional look jo aaj chal raha hai, toh ek similarity hogi. (Animal is a current movie. But somewhere, the bear and hair have that conventional look that is trending these days. Hence, there is a certain level of similarity. I also think that if there is a similarity with a good thing, then there is no problem in that)."
'Badass Ravi Kumar' also stars Prabhu Deva, Kirti Kulhari.
