“Yaha pe sab excited hai, mujhe laga Shah Rukh sir enter kiye, ya koi celebrity aaye jo itna shor mach raha but then I got to know that India has won(When I heard all the shouting and hooting, I thought, 'Who has entered?' And then, of course, I realized it was a double celebration! I'm extremely proud and so happy,” said Kriti Sanon as she saw everyone standing in unison to celebrate India’s victory over New Zealand at the ICC Champions Trophy 2025.

India has now secured the ICC Champions Trophy three times. The team's initial victory was in 2002, when they shared the championship with Sri Lanka, and they claimed the trophy again in 2013 under the leadership of MS Dhoni.
Bollywood has celebrated India’s win by sharing heartfelt messages. Prime Minister Narendra Modi also congratulated the team and lauded their hardwork via a social media post that read - “An exceptional game and an exceptional result!”
“Proud of our cricket team for bringing home the ICC Champions Trophy. They’ve played wonderfully through the tournament. Congratulations to our team for the splendid all round display,” wrote the political leader.
