Met Gala 2025: Fans go gaga over Shah Rukh Khan and Sabyasachi's collaboration, exclaim 'Shut up!' in disbelief

It is about time that the King of Bollywood, Shah Rukh Khan, dons the regal attire and walks the stumptuous red carpet of the MET Gala - and the internet has been wild after the speculations that the legendary actor is making his debut in the jaw-droppingly glorious designs by Sabyasachi Mukherjee, are confirmed.

In an Instagram post on Sunday, April 27, by the popular account, Diet Sabya, they confirmed that India’s undisputed generational superstar will be wearing Sabyasachi, India’s biggest luxury brand, in May, for New York’s spectacular fashion night.
In the post, the first picture of Khan can be recognised from his role in ‘Om Shanti Om,’ where it read, “Shah Rukh + Sabya Met Confirmed.” The second picture confirmed the speculations, where they said, “National headlines, Threads in meltdown, entertainment sites foaming at the mouth, Twitter frenzy et al. Time to shut it down lol. We at DietSabya can confirm: yes, that is indeed SRK - India's undisputed generational superstar - making his Met Gala debut in May 2025, wearing Sabyasachi (India's biggest luxury brand). Previously, Diet Sabya posted a little guessing game that caused a storm on the internet, making them pull their hair in frustration. “STOP THE PRESSES!!! The impossible just happened! The comments under the post suggest that Khan’s collaboration has made his fans overwhelmed with joy. One comment read, “NO SHUT UP I CANNOT TAKE THIS. HOW WILL I SURVIVE IT?? It is inspired by the professor and head of Africana Studies at Barnard College, Monica L. Miller’s 2009 book ‘Slaves to Fashion: Black Dandyism and the Styling of Black Diasporic Identity.’
