'Thalaivan Thalaivii' title teaser out: Vijay Sethupathi, Nithya Menen's chemistry wins hearts; netizens spot humorous dig at Nayanthara and Vignesh Shivan

Fans had been eagerly awaiting updates regarding the upcoming collaboration between Vijay Sethupathi and Nithya Menen ever since the makers announced the film. Now, an official teaser of the movie, along with its title, has been released and has taken the internet by storm.
The duo’s next venture, directed by Pandiraj, is titled 'Thalaivan Thalaivii'. The recently released title teaser features Vijay and Nithya preparing the popular dish kothu parotta. The scene appears to be set in a restaurant, where the two engage in an intense yet hilarious argument about their marriage.

The duo, known for their chemistry in the Malayalam film '19(1)(a)', is once again winning hearts after the teaser. Many fans pointed out that one of the dialogues in the teaser seemed to be a quirky reference to actress Nayanthara. As tensions escalate, Yogi Babu enters with a cheeky line, saying, “This couple is not normal like us.” In a surprising twist, the teaser ends with Sethupathi pulling out a gun and firing a shot.

Meanwhile, social media is flooded with the dialogue “This couple is not normal like us,” which many believe is a playful dig at Nayanthara and Vignesh Shivan. One fan wrote, “Avanga nammala maari normal people kedaiyadhu — the reference to Nayanthara was epic.” Another reacted, “Avanga nammala maari normal people kedaiyadhu 🤣🤣 wikki and Nayan reference.”

The dialogue appears to trace back to a previous event where Vignesh and Nayanthara were seen interacting with social media influencers during a promotional event for a menstrual hygiene product with which they are partnered. The venue was crowded, and one of the fans used the same line, as many were trying to click pictures with the couple. Although the teaser doesn’t mention any names, netizens believe the line takes a subtle dig at the couple.
