It is already evident that
Suresh Babu’s son and
Rana Daggubati’s brother Abhiram will be making his silver screen debut as a protagonist. In 2020, the 29-year-old said “My grandfather’s dream was to see me as a hero and if he would have been there, things would have been different. However, with my father’s support, my debut film might go on floors in 2020 or next year. I’m also equally interested in film production.”
Meanwhile, it was recently reported that
Abhiram Daggubati will be joining hands with popular director
Teja for his debut.
Speaking on the collaboration, he said to a TV channel “During the making of ‘Nene Raju Nene Mantri’, I used to tell Teja sir that I want to work with him. He is one of the few filmmakers who extracts best performance from an actor and knows how to groom them. He launched several newcomers who went on to become successful actors.”
Elaborating more, he said “It will be a different kind of story and I can promise that. I don’t want to reveal much about it at the moment but the story was liked by all my family members including Venkatesh uncle and Rana.” While the pre-production formalities of the untitled project are underway, it is expected to go on floors once the on-going situation gets back into normalcy. RP Patnaik will be making his comeback as music director with this film.
Talking about casting couch allegations in the past, Abhiram said “Everybody makes mistakes, but mine came out big. I did make mistakes but I have learnt my lessons from them. I realised that I shouldn’t be doing such things in future.”
