Upasana Konidela reveals having compulsory date nights with Ram Charan without the TV or phones: 'You can’t give up...'

Tollywood’s power couple, Ram Charan and Upasana Konidela, are known for their successful careers, with Upasana standing out as a well-known businesswoman, while Ram continues to rise as a global star. The duo had earlier shared how they planned their family and children while prioritising their careers. Upasana has now described Ram as a ‘secure man’ while speaking about managing both family and professional life.
In a recent interview with Masoom Minawala, Upasana shared, "We come in as equals, we understood that quite early in our marriage. He’s a very, very secure man. And only a secure man will support a woman and push her to do more. That’s what he does for me. Being there with me through my ups and downs, and me being there with him, is our secret sauce.”

Upasana revealed how they have established a strict routine amidst their busy schedules. The couple follow a date night tradition where they completely disconnect from television and mobile phones to sit and talk with each other.
"Managing our schedules so that we get adequate time with each other is so important. My mum used to tell us that once a week you must have a date night. It’s so important, and we try to do that as much as possible. Date night is at home, with no distractions like the TV or phones," she added.

As an entrepreneur from a reputed business family, Upasana referred to their habit of discussing issues with each other as being as natural as breathing. "If we have a problem with each other, we definitely talk about it. Communication is something that we are still building, and will continue to build till we die. These are things in a marriage that are accepted, but you have to work on them every day. You can’t give up. It’s like breathing," she stated.
Ram and Upasana tied the knot in 2012, and the couple welcomed their first child in 2023.
Ram Charan is currently gearing up for his next major project, 'Peddi', alongside Janhvi Kapoor.
