Here are some other people who survived despite all odds
Phineas Gage
In 1848, railroad worker Phineas Gage was impaled by a 3.5-foot, 13-pound rod he was using to pack a hole with explosives. The then 25-year-old, survived an explosion, that caused a heavy iron rod tear through his jaw, brain, and skull. Strangely, Gage survived, and lived for 12 years, though riddled with a drooping eyelid, seizures, and extreme emotional and cognitive problems.

Matthew Lowe
Matthew Lowe in 2008, survived a near death experience, when his overalls got caught in a factory machine that transported metal parts. As Matthew was sucked into the machine, he could hear his body parts being churned to pieces. The machine eventually spat him out, with a broken back, pelvis, hips, and ribs, and a ruptured stomach and bowel. However, several operations later, Lowe was back to working in the factory!

Steven McCormack
Steven McCormack of New Zealand survived miraculously, when he was sucked into the nozzle of an air hole. His skin soon separated from underlying fat and muscle, and given the pressure, he soon ballooned to thrice his size. Strangely, he survived on his own, as the nozzle only punctured his butt, but did not hit any nerve.
