What did Sunita Williams eat after returning to Earth from Space? Is the astronaut up and running now?

Sunita Williams and Butch Wilmore have returned to Earth after spending over nine months in the ISS. Feeling good and ready to resume everyday activities, Williams shared details of her readjustment period and the meals consumed in space during their mission.
What did Sunita Williams eat after returning to Earth from Space? Is the astronaut up and running now?

Sunita Williams is adjusting to her 'earthy' life after she and her fellow NASA astronaut Butch Wilmore came back to Earth after spending over nine months in the International Space Station (ISS). The two NASA astronauts, who were stranded in space for over 284 days, returned to Earth on March 18 - thanks to SpaceX's spacecraft Dragon and a successful mission by Crew-9.
After a journey of 17 hours since the departure from the International Space Station, their spacecraft successfully splashed down off the coast of Florida at 5.57 pm EDT, marking the end of a mission that garnered global attention.
Once Williams and Wilmore came back to the Earth, they were transported to Houston by helicopter for a 45-day rehabilitation program, where they are now readjusting to living in gravity and earthy lives.

The earthly life:

Sunita Williams and Butch Wilmore recently sat down for an interview with Fox News on AmericaNewsroom with BillHemmer, to “reflect on their experience aboard the ISS after spending more than nine months in space,” which - in fact - is their first press conference since coming back to Earth.
Williams expressed gratitude to all those involved in the mission, including NASA and Elon Musk-owned SpaceX as his agency's Dragon spacecraft brought her and Barry “Butch” Wilmore to Earth, adding, that she has been “feeling good since we have been back, almost two weeks now,” and that she “went out and ran three miles yesterday, so I’ll give myself a pat on the back.”

Williams also revealed what did she eat after returning to Earth!
Turns out it’s not Indian cuisine after all!

William’s first meal after returning to Earth:

What was the first thing she did when she got back to Earth?
Sunita Williams revealed that she first hugged her husband, Michael J. Williams, and met with her beloved pet dogs.
Although she admitted that she enjoys Indian cuisine immensely, and has even expressed her love for food, she revealed that she had a grilled cheese sandwich that made her think of her vegetarian father.

What did they eat in space?

On November 18 of last year, The New York Post reported that NASA astronauts Butch Wilmore and Sunita Williams enjoyed meals that included pizza, roast chicken, and shrimp cocktails aboard the ISS.
Apart from those, what did Williams and Wilmore eat?
Limited Access to Fresh Produce: A source familiar with the Boeing Starliner mission revealed that astronauts had restricted access to fresh produce to ensure a nutritious diet in space.
Variety of Food: According to an insider, the crew enjoyed a selection of meals, including breakfast cereals with powdered milk, pizza, roast chicken, shrimp cocktails, and tuna, with NASA medics monitoring their calorie intake for health purposes.
NASA Image: An image released by NASA on September 9 showed astronauts Wilmore and Williams sharing a meal on the ISS, featuring some of these food items.

Depletion of Fresh Food: The insider noted that while fresh fruits and vegetables were available initially, they ran out within three months. “There’s fresh fruit at first, but as the three months progress, it disappears. After that, they rely on packaged or freeze-dried options,” the insider explained in November.
Food Preparation: All meat and eggs were precooked on Earth and simply needed reheating. Dehydrated foods, like soups and casseroles, were rehydrated with water from the ISS’s 530-gallon freshwater tank, which also recycles astronauts' urine and sweat into drinking water.
Weight Loss Concerns: A specialist clarified that the astronauts’ weight loss was not due to a lack of food. “There is plenty of food on the ISS, even for extended missions,” he noted. Each astronaut is provided approximately 3.8 pounds of food daily, with extra supplies available for unforeseen mission extensions.

The space experience:

Although Williams and Wilmore were stranded in space way beyond what their actual tenure in the ISS was supposed to be, Williams characterized her stay in space as a wonderful experience that she would gladly reprise despite the challenges.
She giddily remarked, “I’d go back in a heartbeat,” highlighting her passion for space travel and the friendship she had with her fellow astronauts and stated, “I love being in space. Space is great. I joke around that it's a little vacation from Earth, but honestly, we have great people in our office who have been training and are ready to go.”
