Bharuch double murder case - Larger conspiracy to incite communal clashes

NEW DELHI: The National Investigation Agency is investigating if there was a `bigger conspiracy' of national sabotage behind the murders of two BJP leaders in Gujarat's Bharuch district last month at the behest of 1993 Mumbai serial blast accused ­ underworld don Javed Patel, known as Javed Chikna.
NIA, government sources said, is looking at a terror plan, backed by Pakistan and Dawood Ibrahim, to trigger communal unrest across the country by eliminating BJP leaders with a known “communal“ image.
Murder of saffron leaders with Hindutva background would invite a backlash against the minorities, raising the possibility of communal clashes, as visible attempts are being made by the western neighbour since BJP came to the power. Looking at the emergency , NIA has rushed an Inspector General rank officer to Bharuch on Tuesday to personally monitor the in vestigations and unearth the conspiracy of targeting the BJPSangh leaders.
An advanced NIA team is already questioning two cont ract killers Abid Dawood Pa tel (Javed Chikna's brother) and Salim Ganchi, who were paid Rs 50 lakh for the killings NIA, Gujarat police and Intel ligence Bureau are looking at the `larger conspiracy' to as sess which other leaders of BJP and RSS are on the target of Javed Chikna, who reportedly is operating from South Africa at the behest of Dawo od's right hand man Chhota Shakeel.
Former party president of Bharuch district and senior RSS member Shirish Banga li and general secretary of Bharatiya Janta Yuva Mor cha of Bharuch district Prag nesh Mistry were shot dead by the module on November 2 after which Gujarat police made seven arrests including these two shooters. NIA has registered a case under sections of Unlawful Activities Prevention Act (UAPA) among other sections of IPC.
Sources said that three more BJP leaders were on the target of this module, which was being paid heavily for the task. It is suspected that Javed Chikna has got a list prepared of BJPRSS leaders who could be the target. NIA, Gujarat police and Intelligence Bureau are looking at the `larger conspiracy' to assess which other leaders of BJP and RSS are on the target of Javed Chikna, who reportedly is operating from South Africa at the behest of Dawood's right hand man Chhota Shakeel.
