Virender Sehwag, a former Indian cricketer, and now one of the most entertaining and spot on commentators, lives in a quiet part of Delhi with a home lush, green, and all things 'Desi'. From trophy walls that feature his accolades, to wooden and earthy tones, and also rugs and carpets that every Indian owns, here are some beautiful inside pictures from his abode.
Starting off is this lush, green, and spacious garden, filled with trees and greenery, making for the perfect spot for him to play, teach his sons, remain active, and much more.
Every year on Diwali, Sehwag shares some amazing pictures of his home temple, and people are left in awe of its simplicity. A home temple made with white marble, it has beautiful idols and pictures of different Gods and Goddesses, and the minimal decoration with flowers and hangings makes it look simple and perfect.
Wooden elements can be spotted around the home, be it shelves, cabinets, tables, or more. There is a yellow-brown hue in the rooms, be it the doors or the shelf on which pictures and frames are kept, and a lone plant in the background adds a pop of colour to the space.
Every Indian home features a wall or a side where all the trophies, medals, accolades, and awards are hung up or kept. And nothing changed in Sehwag's home as well. There is a wall dedicated to his jerseys through the years, kept well protected in their frames, and the blue shirts on a beige-white wall gives a nice contrast.
The home also features an extravagant and elaborate chandelier with unique light fixtures around it. With a shiny, golden colour, the chandelier complements the otherwise simple coloured room, and the light fixtures look like unique diyas held up in air.
The home is filled with comfy seating, from L-shaped sofas to accent chairs, and the colours are again warm-toned and dominantly beige. Paired with similar coloured cushion covers, it is almost like a camouflage between the two, but gives the home a very warm and welcoming feel.
A highlight of the home is undoubtedly the large garden, enough for people to play cricket in. It is lush, green, and well-manicured, and the trees and greenery are a dream to see. From short shrubs to tall trees, the garden features it all.
The home also has a beautiful trophy corner, right next to which is the jersey wall. Shiny and bright, the trophies glisten in the background as Sehwag records a video for 'Virugiri'. Virender Sehwag has won numerous trophies and awards during his career, this wall being an evidence to it, and another highlight of his home.
