The United Arab Emirates is making waves on the international stage with the launch of its innovative Blue Visa program—a 10-year residency permit crafted specifically for individuals who have made significant strides in environmental protection and sustainable development. Announced at the World Government Summit 2025 in Dubai, held from February 11 to 13, this new initiative is a bold step in the nation’s commitment to environmental excellence.
Twenty renowned sustainability innovators will be the first beneficiaries of the Blue Visa initiative, which was created in collaboration between the Federal Authority for Identity, Citizenship, Customs, and Ports Security (ICP) and the Ministry of Climate Change and Environment.

These trailblazers, chosen as leading thought leaders in the field of sustainability, represent a diverse range of expertise and accomplishments that have positively influenced environmental practices both within the UAE and internationally.
