Sankashti Chaturthi has its great importance and this is one of the most revered day to worship Lord Ganesha. On this auspicious day, devotees offer prayers to Lord Ganesha and observe fast in order to seek his blessings. Sankashti falls twice a month, during Krishna Paksha and Shukla Paksha and this time it will occur during Krishna Paksha. Each Chaturthi has its own name and this month, Ganadhipa Sankashti is going to take place on Chaturthi Tithi of Krishna Paksha in Margashirsha Month i.e., on November 19, 2024.

Ganadhipa Sankashti Chaturthi 2024: Significance
Sankashti Chaturthi is one of the most significant to worship Lord Ganesha as Chaturthi Tithi is dedicated to Lord Ganpati Ji. This day is considered as one of the most auspicious day when devotees of Lord Ganesha offer prayers to him and seek his blessings. Lord Ganesha is one of the most beloved and first worshipped God in Hinduism. Without worshipping him first, no auspicious activity or puja ritual is done so it is important to worship him first before starting all the puja rituals and auspicious activities. Even in marriage ritual, he is the first invited God as he is known as Mangalmurti.
Ganadhipa Sankashti Chaturthi 2024: Puja Vidhi
Wake up early in the morning and take a holy bath before starting puja rituals. Devotees should clean the house and puja room and take a sankalp of observing Sankasthi Chaturthi fast. Place an idol of Lord Ganesha and light a diya in front of the idol. Adorn the idol with garland and put tilak. Offer laddoo and durva grass which is an important herb to offer the Lord. Recite Sankashti Chaturthi story and mantras dedicated to Ganesh Ji. n the end, chant Ganesh Ji ki aarti and seek blessings. In the evening, after moonrise, offer Arghya to Moon God and then break your fast and have sattvik food.
