The Gayatri Mantra is one of the most powerful mantras in Hinduism, it is written in the Rig Veda, the oldest Vedic literature, in Mandala 3, Hymn 62, Verse 10. Perfect Time to Chant Gayatri Mantra
The perfect time to chant Gayatri Mantra is somewhere 1.5 hours before Sunrise which is termed Brahma Muhurta believing that at this time, the mind is calm, the environment is pure, and the connection with the divine is strongest, we should also take note that it should be chanted after the bath in a silent position of mind in a proper yogic position of Padmasana. The Gayatri Mantra should be chanted for at least three times, but it can be chanted as many as 108 times, depending on the chanter’s preference the mantra with the appropriate malas (rosary) it is used to keep count of the number of times the mantra is chanted.
