"I would have bowled first as well. Looking at the past few matches, dew has come in during the second innings but we have batted first here. We are taking it one game at a time and not keeping track on how many games we have won. If the top 3 or 4 are doing the job then I am happy with that. We have had a really good home run. EAch and every game in the IPL is important, we are greatful of the last two games and take the momentum forward. It is great to be back. It is a very new team, new guys in the squad, we retained six guys but it is a new team, we took time to gel together. The wicket looks really good. Hasaranga misses out due to personal reasons Farooqi comes in," says RR skipper Sanju Samson at toss.

Shimron Hetmyer has long been RR’s designated finisher -- but tonight, he faces one of his toughest tests: Rashid Khan. Rashid may not have had a great start to the season (1 wicket in 4 games), but he loves the big moments. If Hetmyer comes in at the death, this match-up could decide the game. If Rashid gets the better of him, RR might fall short. But if Hetmyer breaks free, the Royals could push 200+.

The Royals’ batting has sparkled in patches, but their big guns, Yashasvi Jaiswal and skipper Sanju Samson, haven’t fully fired together yet. Jaiswal’s 67 in the last game showed signs of a return to form, but his strike rate (131) and overall tally (101 runs) don’t reflect his true potential. With Indian selectors watching closely, this could be a defining night for the southpaw. As for Samson, consistency has always been the missing link in his game. Time for the Royals' captain to lead from the front.

Dew is expected tonight, and while it usually tilts the game in favor of the chasing side, this stadium has a slightly more balanced record than you'd think. GT have defended totals successfully here, relying on tight lines and a deep bowling unit. RR will need to be proactive -- either piling up a huge total or planning smartly to counter the late-evening moisture. Wrist spin could be tricky to control, so finger spinners and pace off the ball might be the way to go.

While the headlines go to Siraj and Rashid, it’s R Sai Kishore who’s quietly been GT’s best bowler this season. Eight wickets in four games at an economy of just 7.6 -- those are elite numbers in a tournament that’s been brutal for bowlers. He’s outbowled Rashid Khan in every game, and his accuracy under pressure has made him a go-to weapon in the middle overs. With RR packed with right-handers like Samson, Parag, and Jurel, Kishore could be a handful again.

While the Royals may not have clicked entirely as a unit yet, their bowling attack remains one of the most balanced in the league. Archer with the new ball, Hasaranga and Theekshana through the middle, and Sandeep Sharma at the death make for a versatile and threatening combination. Archer’s new-ball form is electric -- swing, pace, bounce. If he knocks over one or two GT top-order batters early, we could have a real contest on our hands.
