Ashwin's milestone came as he took 2/48 in his four-over spell, though his team ultimately lost the match by 18 runs. The 38-year-old has accumulated his 185 wickets across 217 matches at an average of 29.92 and an economy rate of 7.18, with best bowling figures of 4/34.
