Chennai Super Kings off-spinner Ravichandran Ashwin surpassed Bhuvneshwar Kumar to become the third-highest wicket-taker in Indian Premier League history during Tuesday's match against Punjab Kings, claiming two wickets to reach a total of 185 wickets in his IPL career.
Ashwin's milestone came as he took 2/48 in his four-over spell, though his team ultimately lost the match by 18 runs. The 38-year-old has accumulated his 185 wickets across 217 matches at an average of 29.92 and an economy rate of 7.18, with best bowling figures of 4/34.

Bhuvneshwar Kumar, known for his swing bowling, now sits fourth on the all-time list with 184 wickets from 179 matches. The 35-year-old maintains an average of 27.28 and an economy rate of 7.57, with career-best figures of 5/19 in the IPL.
