Siddharth Sagar, best known for his hilarious performances on Comedy Circus and
The Kapil Sharma Show, has frequently made headlines for reasons other than his on-screen wit. Siddharth, who went missing in 2018 and eventually opened out about his struggles with addiction, trauma, and depression, has now spoken about his time on the
comedy talk show alongside
Kapil Sharma and
Krushna Abhishek.
He further got candid about his experience of being a part of The Kapil Sharma Show and his journey with Siddharth Kannan, he said, Badhiya tha… bahut acha wahan pe bahut characters kiye aur wo alag tarha ka maza tha… Kapil paaji ko bhi bahut maza aata tha… ye alag fraternity hai… kabhi Sunil Grover-Kapil Sharma aapko sath dikhte hain, kabhi koi aur dikhta hai, ye chalta rahega. (It was great, had done different characters, Kapil Paaji also enjoyed it.This Fraternity keeps changing with time, someday you will see Kapil and Sunil bhai together, and someday there will be someone else.)
Siddharth further quashed the rumours of insecurities and whether Kapil or Krushna saw him as a threat, he said, "Maine dhyaan nahi diya, mera dhyaan kabhi gaya hi nahi ki mujhe koi competition maanta hain, nobody is replaceable in this world.
Sunil Grover ka koi replacement kabhi nahi ho sakta. Kapil aur Krushna ka koi replacement nahi ho sakta."
Siddharth revealed how he shot for 8 months for the show and eventually, they moved to Netflix as
The Great Indian Kapil Show. He revealed, "I shot that show for 8 months, marine isiliye aage kaam bhi nahi kiya kyunki season khatam bhi ho raha tha and the show shifted to Netflix. They didn’t call me, but I wasn’t upset that they didn’t ask me."
Siddharth reveals that peace matters the most to him in his career. He said, "Mera career jo hai wo apni gati se chalega, sabse important agar meri is jeevan ka koi hissa hai wo mera state of peace hai."
Siddharth has been a part of the industry for more than 15 years, the comedian left his fans stunned with his performances in Comedy Circus. However, during his stint with The Kapil Sharma Show, it was revealed that he had quit the show due to monetary differences, just like how Krushna Abhishek had left the show.
