Epic Games has taken the Fortnite x Mortal Kombat collaboration to the next level with a brand-new batch of themed quests designed to challenge players while offering generous XP rewards. Titled Cryomancer’s Resolve, the questline celebrates the iconic Sub-Zero and introduces a series of objectives inspired by Mortal Kombat’s legendary battles.
With 30,000 XP awarded for each completed quest, this is an unmissable opportunity for players to level up their Battle Pass before the end of Chapter 6, Season 2. Here’s a detailed breakdown of how to tackle each Mortal Kombat quest and what to expect as rewards.

Step into the Cryomancer’s arena

The Cryomancer’s Resolve questline features six objectives, each echoing signature Mortal Kombat mechanics and moments. From unleashing Sub-Zero’s ice-powered moves to squaring off with Scorpion himself, the quests are action-packed and steeped in nostalgia.

1. Hit players with Ice Slide (10 times)

Sub-Zero’s Kombat Kit comes equipped with an Ice Slide attack. To complete this task, hit any enemy player (or NPC) 10 times using the Ice Slide. The move also deals damage while sliding across terrain, so aim for clusters of players in combat zones.

2. Deal 500 damage on the Bridge at The Pit

Head to The Pit, one of three Mortal Kombat-themed landmarks introduced in the 34.21 update. Deal 500 damage to enemies while standing on the bridge, a nod to Mortal Kombat’s iconic battleground.

3. Shatter player shields from beyond 10 meters (5 times)

This long-range challenge is straightforward: use an AR or sniper to break enemy shields from a safe distance. Positioning is key, stay elevated and pick off targets without getting too close.

4. Collect the First Blood Medallion in two matches

To complete this, defeat the boss Scorpion at his marked spawn location (either The Pit, Living Forest, or Dead Pool) and loot the First Blood Medallion. If someone else defeats him, you can track them down and steal it.

5. Hit an opponent with both an air kick and uppercut in 5 seconds

Master the Kombat Kit mechanics by using jump + attack (Air Kick) and crouch + attack (Uppercut) on a single opponent within five seconds. This can be done on hostile NPCs to avoid direct PvP conflict.

6. FATALITY - Defeat Scorpion with Sub-Zero’s Kombat Kit

Equip Sub-Zero’s Kombat Kit (found near Scorpion’s location) and eliminate him to complete this epic finale. It's a Mortal Kombat-worthy moment, rewarding you with Mythic loot and bragging rights.
Completing all six quests grants a total of 180,000 XP, making it one of the most lucrative limited-time event challenges in Fortnite history. Expect more themed quests soon, with Hellfire’s Vengeance and Balance of Power sets expected in the coming days.
So gear up, slide in, and test your might.
