Battle for Brooklyn is an upcoming DLC of The Division 2. This marks an expansion after 5 years. As of now, there has been no confirmation regarding the release of this DLC, but a credible industry insider has revealed the potential release window and price of this expansion in a podcast.

Amidst the wait for The Division 3, fans have now got exciting news for The Division 2: Battle For Brooklyn DLC. Released six years ago, this action RPG is one of the most popular titles among Tom Clancy’s games. The game got so popular that fans started demanding for a sequel.
It’s true that The Division 3 is in the works, but the sad part is that this game is not coming, at least, before the end of 2026. However, we still have The Division 2 and its exciting updates. As things stand, The Destiny 2 fans are going to be more excited as we have recently got the release window and price of the upcoming DLC.

It’s been 5 years since The Division 2 fans got any form of expansion, which was Warlords of New York. Since the, a lot of things have changed but the fans were left with no more additional content. Even Massive Entertainment remained tight-lipped about The Division 3. So, something was needed to keep the spark alive.

That is where the Battle for Brooklyn DLC comes into play. But we are yet to get the release window of this expansion. However, popular industry insider Tom Henderson has shared an update about the DLC on Insider Gaming Weekly: A Video Game Podcast.

As per Henderson, Battle of Brooklyn is expected to be released at the end of May, 2025. This claim might make fans feel relieved as this DLC has already been delayed twice.
Initially, this expansion was planned for a 2024 release, but that was pushed through early 2025 as a part of year 6. But that plan was postponed as well as this DLC is now pushed outside of Year 6. So, we can expect that this DLC is going to mark the beginning of Year 7.
Henderson also claimed that Battle for Brooklyn is going to cost $15 only. As compared to the previous DLC which costs $30, the upcoming one is much cheaper. There is a reason for that as well. According to Henderson, this DLC is “probably going to be the smallest one in the franchise.”
As previously mentioned, Massive is also reportedly working on The Division 3, which is a way bigger and more important project for the company. This explains the reason behind the compact size of the upcoming DLC.
