Tom Aspinall and Jon Jones are supposed to appear against each other and the speculations have been going around for a long time. Recently, Tom Aspinall provided an update about where the match stands as of today. However, fans have brutally trolled Tom Aspinall for his statements on the match with Jon Jones as he shifted the entire blame on his opponent.

In a recently uploaded YouTube video, Tom Aspinall said, “Where we’re at right now is I have spoken to the UFC on multiple occasions about this fight. I’m chasing it. I want the fight. I’ve been on record and said that I want the fight.”
He continued, "I’ve been on the phone with the UFC saying that I want the fight, 'When’s it happening?'. I want the fight more than anyone. What is holding it up right now is his side. That’s the truth of it.”
Tom Aspinall also added that even the UFC are trying hard to make the fight happen since “this is one of the biggest fights that can be made in MMA right now”. He also highlighted that Jon Jones wants to be in a place where he is “financially comfortable” to make this decision.

These statements of Tom Aspinall’s has not gone down well with fans. A fan wrote, “Bro who are you? You’re a nobody and he’s the greatest to do it. Get some defensive titles”, while another fan wrote, “If the UFC really wanted it by any means they would pay Jon Jones 30+ million and he would kill this guy. Just my opinion”.
A third fan wrote, “Unless Jon Jones wants some astronomically large payment, the UFC should make the fight happen so that the heavyweight division can have a massive fight and stop it from being held up.”
Tom Aspinall was last spotted when he fought against Curtis Blaydes at the UFC 304 in July 2024 where he defended his interim belt.
Jon Jones was last spotted fighting against Stripe Miocic in November 2024 where he won.
