LeBron James and
Bronny James firmly denied the allegations against their name surrounding an alleged car crash. The lawsuit, filed in Los Angeles County on October 22, 2024, by plaintiffs April Almanza Lopez and Kiara Rae McGillen, claims that LeBron and Bronny James caused an automobile accident on November 13, 2022. The plaintiffs allege that the crash left them with injuries that required medical attention. The crash, according to the accusers, caused significant damage to their vehicle. They are seeking financial compensation for medical expenses, pain and suffering, and vehicle depreciation.
The James family has decided to fight back against the allegations, firmly denying any responsibility for the accident. Legal documents obtained by TMZ Sports show that both LeBron and Bronny have rejected all claims made in the lawsuit. Their response clearly states they "deny each and every allegation contained in the complaint."
The alleged crash reportedly occurred in Littlerock, California, on Pearblossom Highway near 87th Street. However, the lawsuit notably lacks a report from the California Highway Patrol (CHP). The Antelope Valley office of the CHP was unable to locate any official accident report from that date or location. As per a previous report after the allegation, it was unclear whether authorities were ever notified about the incident.
Despite this, Lopez and McGillen insist that the crash caused lasting injuries and that they have continued to receive medical treatment. They claim to have "sustained personal injuries which caused and will continue to cause pain, discomfort and physical disability," (per Los Angeles Times). Furthermore, they state that they have sought medical care from physicians and surgeons and will require ongoing treatment in the future.
Interestingly, the lawsuit was filed just hours after LeBron and Bronny made history by playing together in an NBA regular-season game for the first time. LeBron, celebrating the milestone, expressed his excitement in a heartfelt post: "NEVER FORGET THAT MOMENT FOR THE REST OF MY LIFE." The Lakers won that game 110-103, marking a special night for the James family.
