LeBron James has stirred up debate with his recent comments on NFL star Patrick Mahomes’ potential to surpass Tom Brady as the greatest of all time. The Los Angeles Lakers star who does not hesitate to share his candid opinions, praised Mahomes’ career trajectory. LeBron James commented on Patrick Mahomes’ NFL career

LeBron James has recently shared his thoughts on why Patrick Mahomes is a rare talent in the NFL and could one day be regarded as the greatest quarterback of all time. Mahomes looking for his fourth Super Bowl title and the Kansas City Chiefs potentially securing a third consecutive championship. Many see the NFL star nearing the heights of legendary Tom Brady, who won seven Super Bowls during his career. James asserted that Mahomes appears to be on track to challenge the legacy of Brady.
In a clip for DraftKings, James explained why Mahomes has all it takes to be the all-time great. "I think Pat Mahomes is obviously one of the greatest ever to play the sport," James said.
He went on to add, "He can do everything. He can throw the ball in the pocket. He can go three-step drops. He can go five-step drops. He can roll out on scrambles and make passes. He can throw sidearm. He can throw cross body. You know, the NFL rule is don't throw across the field or throw across your body. He's an exception to the rule because of how great he is."
Additionally, James pointed out how both, he and Patrick Mahomes have been game-changers in their respective sports. "I think the best parallel that I would say between Pat Mahomes and myself in our first seven years is that we just kind of just changed the way we, you know, you kind of view the game.” The 40-year-old further shared that the NFL star has exceeded what James had achieved in the first seven years in the NBA. “He's doing a hell of a lot better than I did in my first seven years. I think that he got, what, three chips already?”

The Lakers star further stated that both Mahomes and Brady achieved astonishing feats in their careers and it would not be wrong if someone picked the 29-year-old quarterback over Brady or the other way around. "You wouldn't be wrong if you said Pat Mahomes was your number one for greatest quarterbacks of all time. You wouldn't be wrong if you said Brady. It's just two guys that transcended the sport. Two guys that are just amazing," James added.
While James’ comment may upset Brady’s hardcore fans, Mahomes' rise in the game has been commendable.
