Troy Polamalu’s nephew, Isaiah Pola-Mao makes a comeback and to its surprise, the Las Vegas Raiders will see a similar return to the franchise. The NFL season is full of swings with teams exchanging and extending contracts.
On Monday, the former USC defensive star had extended its contract, and sources say that it could be worth up to $8.45 million. The Raiders demanded for the Pola-Mao return who once was a restricted agent.
According to the NFL Network’s Ian rapoport, the contract is a two-year deal worth for $8.45 million. In the 2022 NFL Draft, Pola Mao signed with Las Vegas as an undrafted agent.
“Thank you to all the people that have taken the time to support me,” Pola-Mao expresses his emotions
Taking to the walls of Instagram, Pola-Mao writes, “I'm so grateful to continue this journey at the place it all began," the 25-year-old's social media post began.”
Pola further shared, “Thank you to all the people that have taken the time to support me, whether that was coming to a game or watching at home. Thank you to my family, y'all have always been in my corner through the lowest lows and the highest highs. Thank you to my wife and son, I can't do what I do on the field without the love and support of y'all.”
The post seems to bit lengthy with Mao ending up with, “I went undrafted in 2022 and I was told to put my head down and work. Do the extra things and put in the time game of football demands of us. It only takes everything you've got. Back to the grind! Let's go Raider Nation!”
Not only this The Raiders posted a video clip of Pola Mao addressing the fans and cherishing with them. In the video, Pola Mao was heard saying, “Raiders nation, excited to keep going on this journey with y'all. Love this organization.”
Known to be the ruler of his own kingdom, Pola-Mao was drafted No.16 in the 2003 NFL Draft by the Pittsburgh Steelers. At that time, he acted and helped achieve success by providing support to Super Bowl XL.
In his entire career, he was the safety for a four-time First-team All-Pro and a two-time Second-team All-Pro selection. Pola-Mao was also an eight-time Pro Bowl selected before he retired in 2015.
