Recently, ESPN’s Emily Kaplan shared an insight on why the decision to trade Brad Marchand was taken. In a recent post on X, ESPN’s Emily Kaplan shared a clip from the ABC pregame where she spoke about the Boston Bruins�?decision.

Emily Kaplan said, “The Bruins are always gonna view Brad Marchand as family, he is a legacy player.�?She added that initially Brad Marchand was being offered a three year deal by the Boston Bruins in February.
She continued, “Management went to ownership. They got the OK to do a three-year deal, except there’s obviously a difference in perspective on AAV.�?br/>Emily Kaplan also revealed that the Boston Bruins did “work�?with Brad Marchand so that he could be traded to a team that he prefers. She said, "They did work with him so he could go to a preferred destination".
She also revealed one of the reasons the Florida Panthers team was chosen could be because Brad Marchand wanted to be on the East coast with his family and also that the team has a lot of players from the Boston Bruins.
