Michelle McCool has a short yet top-tier history when it came to shining bright on the Grandest Stage of Them All, WrestleMania.
Michelle McCool has been the prime example of a true trailblazer in
WWE at a time when women did not have significant opportunities. Despite that, she, alongside her partner, Layla, was among the top acts in WWE, popularly called Lay-Cool. Moreover, McCool herself has carved out an accomplished career in the company, reigning as a multi-time WWE Women's Champion.
Furthermore, with WrestleMania seasons underway in full force, Michelle McCool is set to be immortalized in history. The Flawless One has been announced for the WWE Hall of Fame class of 2025. As Michelle prepares to take her place in the elite class of legends, here is a look back at the three times she stole the show at WWE's biggest show, WrestleMania:
3. WrestleMania 25 Battle Royal
Michelle McCool's first major showing on the Grandest Stage of Them All came at the 25th anniversary of WrestleMania. A huge battle royal was scheduled to crown the first-ever 'Miss WrestleMania.' The match featured top stars of the time, including Michelle McCool, who walked into the match as the champion. The Flawless star displayed an excellent showing and tossed out a few stars in the Battle Royal. Despite Santina Marella taking the crown home, McCool's performance was widely appreciated.
2. WrestleMania 26
The only time Michelle McCool left with a W at WrestleMania was in 2010. She was at the peak of her career alongside Layla. The duo, alongside the team of Alicia Fox, Maryse, and Vickie Guerrero, battled Beth Phoenix, Eve Torres, Gail Kim, Kelly Kelly, and Mickie James in a 10-woman tag team match. The match was a top draw and was the only women's match on the card which saw Michelle's team seal the win and leave Arizona as the victors.
1. WrestleMania 27
The last time Michelle McCool competed at WrestleMania as a full-time performer was in 2011. She was part of a star-studded match. It saw Layla and Dolph Ziggler team up to battle the team of John Morrison, WWE Hall of Famer Trish Stratus, and their celebrity partner, Snooki from Jersey Shore. The fans were impressed by the match that went down in Atlanta, Georgia, and was widely appreciated for the performances of all the stars, including Michelle McCool. While her team did not win the bout, it was one of the most prolific matches of her WrestleMania career.
