WWE ID Reveals Details About Title Tournament Match for WrestleMania Week

The WWE ID Champion Tournament was introduced in 2024, with the inaugural champions crowned during tournaments. WWE ID announced that the 2025 Championship will start in Las Vegas during WrestleMania 41. Wrestlers from WWE Evolve, including Sean Legacy and Zayda Steel, will compete. The WWE ID Champion Tournament was introduced in 2024, where multiple independent wrestlers were offered contracts to be a part of the system. Last year in 2024, the WWE Men's and Women's ID Championships were held where Triple H declared that the inaugural champions would be crowned in tournaments across top independent promotions.
However, on March 18, 2025, WWE ID officially announced that the WWE ID Championship will start in Las Vegas during WrestleMania week which is slated to begin on April 19-April 20, 2025. Let's further look into the WWE ID championship details more—

WWE ID reveals details about title tournament match

The WWE ID Champion Tournament will begin the tournament in the WrestleMania week with two opening rounds of events. In a post on X, WWE ID announced that the WWE ID Championship Tournament will start in Las Vegas during Wrestlemania 41. Let's take a look at the announcement here:

As per reports, Game Changer Wrestling will present the ID Tournament matches as part of The Collective on April 16th. Following this, Future Stars of Wrestling will then present the ID Tournament matches on April 18th after SmackDown.
The first round of the tournament will take place at The Collective at The Palms in Las Vegas. And, the next round of matches is scheduled for the FSW show on April 18 at the FSW Arena.
The update also announced which professional wrestlers would be a part of the shows. These wrestlers are already featured on the developmental show of WWE Evolve. The names on the list include: Sean Legacy, Zayda Steel, Ice Williams, Jackson Drake, Brad Baylor, Ricky Smokes, Zara Zakher, and Cappuccino Jones. Other than these players, it is expected that more plays will be added in the coming weeks.
WWE ID also posted that there are many more announcements regarding the event which will be declared soon to the fans. Over the years, WrestleMania has continued to grow, as seen by the addition of more shows to the weekend and the launch of the WWE World attraction, which features panels with the company's biggest stars, merchandising, and meet-and-greets.

WWE previously announced the launch of WWE Independent Development (WWE ID) in October. According to WWE, in this program, independent wrestlers would be designated as official prospects for the company, which means that the company would “support their developmental journey by providing financial opportunity and assisting with training, mentorship, and development, including access to world-class facilities, best-in-class ring training, athletic trainers and more.”
