Forza Horizon 5 will make its debut on PlayStation 5 this spring, expanding its player base across gaming platforms. Developed by Playground Games in partnership with Turn 10 Studios and Panic Button, the PlayStation version will offer identical content to existing Xbox and PC releases.
The game will launch with an impressive lineup of nearly 900 cars, over 40 thematic updates, and two previously released expansions.
Crossplay functionality will enable players on Xbox, PC, and PS5 to race together, creating a unified gaming experience.
Alongside the PlayStation release, Playground Games is introducing a free content update called Horizon Realms for all platforms. This update will showcase a curated collection of community-favorite Evolving Worlds, promising new experiences for existing players.
The expansion represents a significant milestone for the Forza franchise, which originally launched on Xbox and PC in 2021. Critics have praised the game, with The Verge's Sam Byford previously calling it the "best Forza Horizon yet."
Players can prepare for the launch by wishlisting the game on the PlayStation Store. Playground Games encourages the existing Forza community to welcome new PlayStation players, expecting veterans to share tips and help newcomers integrate into the Horizon Festival.
