Sony increases PlayStation Plus prices in Canada: All details inside

Sony has announced a price hike for PlayStation Plus subscriptions in Canada, marking the second increase since September 2023. The new rates will take effect starting June 24, 2025, impacting all three tiers of the service: Essential, Extra, and Premium.
The updated pricing for 12-month subscriptions is as follows:

This represents an increase of 15.8% for Essential, 22.6% for Extra, and 18.4% for Premium.

Sony stated in an email to subscribers that the price adjustment will allow the company to “continue bringing high-quality games and benefits” to PlayStation Plus. However, many gamers have expressed frustration, noting that no new perks have been introduced to justify the higher costs.
