Bharti Singh breaks down as she recalls judging her teacher Rajiv Thakur on a TV show; says 'Mere liye woh waali baat thi ke zameen mein dhas jaaun'

Bharti Singh, widely recognized as one of television's most talented and beloved comedians, has carved out a successful career with her exceptional comic timing and unique sense of humour. Not many know that the actress was trained under the guidance of ace comedians like Kapil Sharma, Sudesh Lehri and Rajiv Thakur. Bharti Singh has mentioned in her several interviews that during her college days, she learnt comedy from the three popular comedians. Recently, during her podcast with The Kapil Sharma Show fame Rajiv Thakur, Bharti Singh got emotional recalling the time when she was a judge on a TV show, Comedy Dangal and Rajiv appeared as a contestant. Recalling about the time when she had to judged her 'guru', Rajiv Thakur, Bharti Singh broke down into tears.
Speaking about the incident, Rajiv Thakur shared, "Just see my guts. Once I got the offer of a TV show, and before the offer came to me, the channel people and everyone else had already imagined that I would never accept the offer. But to everyone's surprise, I accepted the offer at one go. I did not question at all, Bharti was the judge of the show. Logon ko laga Bharti judge hai toh ye nahi karega. But it was a happy and proud moment for me.I used to feel very happy that someone you taught, your student has achieved so much in life. It was a big thing for me that Bharti was sitting in front of me and judging me."

Bharti got teary-eyed while explaining the moment and shared, "Mere liye woh kya moment hoga, aap sochiye. Mere liye toh woh waali baat thi ke main zameen mein dhas jaaun. It was like my guru was performing and I had to judge him and give scores. It was a very big thing for me (Bharti breaks down, wipes her tears). Mujhe toh aisa lag raha tha main baithi he kyu hoon. I follow the same thing today also, if my guru is performing I can't sit.I was sitting there as judge and Anu Malik was the co-judge. Rajiv Sir was performing and I just had my hands folded under the table out of respect."
Bharti and Rajiv have worked together on several shows like Comedy Circus, The Kapil Sharma Show, Comedy Dangal to name a few.
