Lenovo’s “Aura Edition” detailed
The Aura Edition lineup, which qualifies as both Lenovo AI PCs and Microsoft Copilot+ devices, features the latest Intel Core Ultra processors. Delivering up to 45 trillion operations per second, these processors handle complex AI tasks while optimizing battery life. The result of a multi-year Lenovo-Intel partnership, these machines aim to redefine AI computing with premium hardware and exclusive Lenovo AI experiences.
What sets these devices apart are three unique AI features: Smart Modes, Smart Share, and Smart Care. Smart Modes intuitively adapts to user needs with specialized settings including Shield for privacy protection, Attention for blocking distracting websites, Collaboration for enhancing video calls, and Wellness for digital health monitoring.
Smart Share provides seamless photo transfer between smartphones and laptops using Elliptic Labs' AI Virtual Sensor technology. Users can simply tap a supported smartphone on the screen edge to launch the feature and drag-and-drop recent photos between devices, compatible with both iOS and Android.
For technical support, Smart Care offers one-click access to Lenovo's online support tools and Premier Support Plus, connecting users directly to elite Lenovo engineers through remote camera sharing, voice, or chat from a PC or smartphone.
Lenovo AI Now promises on-device intelligence with enhanced privacy
Complementing the hardware capabilities, Lenovo's AI Now platform serves as the intelligence backbone of the ThinkPad X9 Aura Edition. Built on Meta's Llama 3.0 large language model, AI Now processes all data locally on the device, ensuring user information never leaves the system.
The platform offers contextual awareness that streamlines document organization, provides natural language search across personal files, generates summaries of complex documents, and enables powerful text generation capabilities.
Lenovo has committed to expanding AI Now's functionality through regular updates, with upcoming features including cross-device knowledge retrieval, intelligent document parsing, and expanded multilingual support for German, Spanish, and French.
Asides the ThinkPad X9, the Aura Edition portfolio includes six more models across commercial and consumer segments: ThinkPad X1 Carbon Gen 13, ThinkPad X1 2-in-1 Gen 10, Yoga Slim 7i in 14" and 15" options, and the Yoga 9i 2-in-1.
