Tesla CEO Elon Musk: Gotta make sure that I don't get shot by…

Elon Musk disclosed that his life expectancy has been affected by the death threats he received due to his association with the Department of Government Efficiency. His support for conservative candidate Brad Schimel and recent protests against Tesla vehicles only exacerbated the situation, underscoring the backlash against his cost-cutting measures and public image controversies.
Tesla CEO Elon Musk: Gotta make sure that I don't get shot by…
Tesla CEO Elon Musk recently said that the number of death threats he is getting because of his association with the Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE) “are just next level”. In a viral audio clip shared by X user DogeDesigner, the tech billionaire says “My life expectancy is not increasing as a result of DOGE that's for sure.” Adding that “the death threats and everything are just next level,” he said that he “gotta make sure that I don't get shot by some crazy person.”
“The President almost got killed. Think about that. Now they want to get me,” Musk said in the audio.

Elon Musk on getting death threats

In another video shared by DogeDesigner, Elon Musk jokingly said: “There were quite a few death threats. My security team said it's actually gone down from yesterday to today, from 18000 to 17000, so well maybe it's getting better.”

The video is originally from a recent town hall in Green Bay, Wisconsin, where he addressed the audience while donning a cheesehead hat. The event was part of Musk's support for conservative candidate Brad Schimel in the upcoming Wisconsin Supreme Court election. During the rally, he awarded $1 million each to two Wisconsin voters who signed an online petition opposing "activist" judges.

Protests against Tesla

Elon Musk-owned Tesla has recently become the focal point of a series of coordinated attacks targeting its vehicles, dealerships, and infrastructure across multiple states. Even some Tesla owners have reportedly altered or removed vehicle logos to avoid vandalism linked to Elon Musk's controversial public image.
Musk previously acknowledged the severe backlash against his cost-cutting measures resulting in significant federal layoffs and budget reductions. “I’m taking a lot of flak and getting a lot of death threats, by the way. I can, like, stack them up,” he remarked, according to The Times. “But if we don’t do this, America will go bankrupt. That’s why it has to be done.”
