Cummins, a company which has invested around 1 billion in the Indian market over the last 10 years, expects India to benefit from the current "geo political" scenario that will see sourcing of components get broadbased beyond China. President of Engine Business at Cummins, Srikanth Padmanabhan, said "with the current geo political scenario, India is a destination for dual sourcing of components that would have earlier been sourced from East Asia and so we see India becoming a manufacturing and engineering hub for global business this includes componentry in electronics or battery related components where localization is not needed in the North American market much of those components would move to India given the geo political tensions elsewhere in the world." He added that apart from India, Cummins is also expected to become a hub for green hydrogen technology as well as hydrogen export. ashwath ram, MD of Cummins India, said "we are looking at new capacity for hydrogen and we're looking at different investment locations and are in talks with different states evaluating incentives in addition to the pli scheme. That includes Tamil Nadu too." The hydrogen push is part of Cummins
