Birbhum recorded a 91.24% pass percentage, marking its strong academic performance and the diligent efforts of its students in the 2025 West Bengal Class 12 board examinations.

This was the last exam under the annual system which had started in 1978. From next year onwards, the WB HS exams will be held under semester system.

The WBCHSE has also released the performance analysis for social categories. This year, Scheduled Caste (SC) students have obtained a pass rate of 89%, while Scheduled Tribe (ST) students have achieved a pass rate of 83.05%. Students from Other Backward Classes (OBC) have achieved a pass percentage of 89.93%.

Male students in WBCHSE class 12th exams have performed better than their female counterparts, obtaining a pass percentage of 93%. While girls have achieved a pass rate of 88.88%. Meanwhile, Science stream has emerged with the highest pass percentage of 99.46%.
