As part of a crackdown on bulk drug importers, the DRI has unearthed a major racket with the arrest of one person in the Capital.

Fishermen in Konapapapeta village, Uppada Kothapalli mandal, Kakinada district agitate against Lyfius Pharma, subsidiary of Aurabindo Pharma at A.V Nagaram, Thondangi mandal, for destroying fishing nets with pipeline laid into the sea. The agitation turned violent with fishermen setting a boat on fire and attempting self-immolation.
