Washington Sundar is a middle-order batsman, representing Indian cricket team. He is one of the youngest players in the team and also bowls off-spin. After representing India at the 2016 Under-19 World Cup, he replaced cricketer Ravichandran Ashwin in the Rising Pune Supergiant team of the 2017 IPL, wherein he bowled an impressive rate to help his side to the final.

Not many know, Sundar initially remained unsold during the 2017 IPL auctions but was recruited as an injury replacement to Ashwin.
