The place started gaining its infamous reputation of being haunted after the brutal Tsunami of 2004 which hit this fishing hamlet and left it in a state of nothing more than destruction and death. Although not too many people were reported to be dead from the calamity in this place, but then more than 1000 were left homeless. With abandoned houses and deserted buildings, the place looks eerie these days while the people believe that the neighbourhood is haunted by the spirits who died in the disaster.
Madras Christian College

Well, this one is reported to be quite true for the said ghost has been witnessed walking the corridors of Chennai’s Madras Christian College.
