Samridhii Shukla, who plays the role of Abhira in Rajan Shahi’s Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai, says that she had a lot of fun shooting the Holi sequence in the show. She adds that there are big twists happening in the show.
“The Holi sequence was colourful and dramatic and vibrant including how they created this, you know, dance number in Holi in a basti where Arman and Abhira are staying. I think DKP is known to give really beautiful setups. So, they did that. There is also a lot of drama which was needed as Vidya comes to visit Arman and that was the highlight of the story,” she says.
She adds, “There are big twists that will happen. Vidya has come. She wants to seek forgiveness from Armaan. So that is one thing. Also, the trauma of the baby comes to the surface. Because Armaan and Abhira are once again reminded of how complete or strong they will be as a couple they'll be incomplete because they will not have a child to share their happiness with. They will not have their blood, their baby. So they're going to be sad about that. That's also coming out and there'll be like a four or five-month leap too.”
Talking about any behind-the-scenes incidents while shooting the Holi scenes, she says, “We always keep having a gala time and fun when we're shooting for holy scenes or even you know daily scenes like right now we shot a scene where it was me, Armaan, Ruhi, Rohit and we were all four of us sitting giving interviews having fun. It's all laughs and gags. No drama, no stress, just a lot of fun all the time.”
She adds, “We have fun off-camera and on-camera as well. There's always a lot of drama because that's what the audience needs. That's what they crave and that's what we want to give them. We keep having fun off-screen as well.”
