Gujarat: BSF personnel murdered for reprimanding youth for uploading daughter's video, 7 arrested

A Border Security Force (BSF) personnel was allegedly beaten to death in Kheda city of Gujarat on December 24, for protesting against the circulation of an obscene video of his daughter. The soldier, identified as Melaji Vaghela, died on the spot after he was assaulted with sticks and sharp weapons by youth's family. The seven family members have been arrested on charges of murder and rioting and sent to judicial custody. “When my parents and brother went to speak to those who made video viral, some people came from behind and attacked my father with sharp weapon on his head. He died on spot,” Pratik, Son of the deceased BSF personnel told ANI. BSF and State Police are working in tandem to bring facts to the fore, BSF Gujarat tweeted.
