In Surat, a heartwarming display of communal harmony unfolded as thousands of people came together to join the procession on Rajmarg to celebrate Eid-e-Milad un Nabi. What made this celebration even more remarkable was the coincidence that Anant Chaturdashi and Eid-e-Milad un Nabi festivities fell on the same day, a Thursday. In order to ensure the peaceful coexistence of both celebrations, the Muslim community made a mutual agreement to postpone their Eid-e-Milad un Nabi procession to the following day, the 29th of September. This thoughtful decision allowed both communities to partake in their respective festivals without any disruptions. As a result, the Eid-e-Milad un Nabi procession graced Surat on Friday evening, uniting people in a spirit of togetherness and celebration.
