COVID-19 positive Manish Mundra hits back at trolls targeting his upcoming film 'Iftikhar'

Since the announcement of the film, 'Iftikhar' based on Ashok Chakra awardee Major Mohit Sharma, a section of the society is expressing its displeasure over the title of the film. Now the producer of 'Iftikhar' Manish Mundra has expressed his displeasure over the criticism he has been receiving from the netizens on the name of the movie and other things. Taking to his Twitter handle, Manish Mundra tweeted that he was ‘tired of comments’ from those who ‘have problem with the name or any other issue’ on Major Mohit Sharma. His tweet read, 'Guys those who have a problem with the name or any other issue on Maj Mohit Sharma Pls don’t write to me. Better earn your money and make your own version of the film. I am tired of such comments.' However, he later revealed that his outburst came amid his treatment for COVID-19. In his next tweet, the producer apologised for his ‘outburst’ and tweeted, 'Sorry for the outburst. Generally, I don’t do that. But I am mused struggling with Covid in the hospital, need your prayers and strength. I will be fine.' In his latest tweet, the producer who backed the films like 'Masaan' and 'Newton' expressed his gratitude towards netizens for their good wishes. He tweeted, 'Thanks all for the wishes. I am really thankful. Will be back in action in a couple of days. I am sure.' For the unversed, Manish Mundra had recently announced the film 'Iftikhar' based on Major Mohit Sharma and as per the reports the movie is an adaptation of Shiv Aroor and Rahul Singh’s book, 'India’s Most Fearless 2: More Military Stories of Unimaginable Courage and Sacrifice'. The tweet announcing the film by Manish Mundra's production house read, 'A prestige movie project that will tell the valiant story of Ashok Chakra awardee Major Mohit Sharma, who fearlessly infiltrated Hizbul Mujahideen under the alias of Iftikhar Bhatt.'
